Kravets Wehby Gallery is thrilled to announce Patches For a Broken Harmony, a new exhibition by Buket Savci, bringing together a vibrant body of work that celebrates life through an exuberant language of color, movement, and human connection.

In these new paintings, figures appear in moments of movement and suspension, surrounded by flowers and expansive, cosmic spaces. Savci’s paintings have always explored the tension between people, nature, and their environments. Here, the figures assume circular formations as a metaphor for the shared experience of living: bodies move together, patterns collide, and individuals provide for the greater orchestration. These structures become a conduit and shield to process mental ache in an overall joyful existence. Drawing from the elegance and discipline of dance alongside the spontaneity of performance, Savci creates scenes that feel staged and deeply personal. Her saturated palette and intricate compositions transform ordinary moments into celebrations, while intimacy and vulnerability remain present throughout.

With this body of work, Savci continues to embolden her distinctive vision of figurative painting. The new paintings invite viewers into worlds that are cheerful, immersive, and unnaturally colorful, while suggesting that elation itself can be a form of resilience. Through these paintings, Savci offers an exuberant meditation on connection, performance, beauty, and the fleeting moments that make life worth celebrating.

Buket Savci (b. 1976) is from Istanbul, Turkey, and is based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her BFA from Pratt Institute and her MFA from the New York Academy of Art. This year, she was an artist-in-residence at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and her work was recently exhibited at the Spaţiul de Artă Contemporană in Bucharest, RO. Patches For a Broken Harmony is Savci’s third exhibition with the gallery and will be on view through October 10, 2026.
