The Kravets Wehby Gallery is pleased to announce Life Round Here a solo exhibition of new work by James Busby, opening on Thursday September 8, and running through October 4, 2016. 

Out the window from James Busby's studio, on the peninsula of land where he lives, as far as the eye can see, is water in one direction and forest in the other. James has developed this new body of work based on the natural environment where he was raised, using raw wood that’s indigenous to his hometown. Whether its black walnut or ambrosia maple, the material is meticulously altered and thoughtfully manipulated, creating the perfect marriage between art and nature. 

James received his BFA and MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and lives in South Carolina. He has exhibited at Stux Gallery, The Chelsea Art Museum, the Nassau County Museum, Center for Contemporary Art, Columbia, South Carolina, LOYAL Gallery, Stockholm, Dickinson Gallery, London, Dirimart Gallery, Turkey, Istanbul, and Galerie Jean- Luc & Takako, Paris. This will be James’s fourth solo exhibition at Kravets Wehby Gallery.
