Botany, Entomology, Zoology, & Art History all play leading roles in Allison Zuckerman's new body of work. Her exhibition Gone Wild will come to life at Kravets Wehby Gallery on Saturday, February 27, 2021— just in time for spring. Interwoven within Zuckerman's painting and sculpture are hidden nods to fashion. Gucci, Valentino, Fendi, and Blumarine all participate with the natural world where rabbits and pelicans, flowers and insects, tigers and monkeys embrace their couture surroundings. Picasso, Matisse, and Dalí, become the zookeepers of the asylum while Darwin and Audubon attend to the needs of the natural world. The paintings in the exhibition appeared in the January issue of Vogue Italia.
