Stir Crazy will open at Kravets Wehby Gallery on Friday the 13th of January 2023. A medley of frenetic work, meticulous and raw coexist in the new paintings by Sejiro Avoseh, Wendell Gladstone, Jabari Jefferson, Maria Yolanda Liebana, Assata Mason, Chris Regner, Taylor Simmons, Jade Thacker, and Georg Wilson. Stir Crazy offers an indulgence of figurative compositions.

Each paintings’ contained energies are collectively explosive. They’re both opulent and unnerving, off the wall and restrained, the work is impervious to overgeneralization— aside from the painters painting. Calculated collage, perfect airbrush, faint washes, voluptuous impasto are just a few techniques represented.
