The Kravets Wehby Gallery is pleased to announce She Rocks, a group exhibition opening on Saturday, January 14, and running through Saturday, February 18, 2017. She Rocks will include works by Sydney Chastain-Chapman, Aya Uekawa, Alison Blickle, Jamea Richmond-Edwards, Beverly Fishman, and Allison Zuckerman. 

12 years ago, Sydney Chastain-Chapman opened our eyes to the everyday awkwardness of daily life, which in turn lead to Aya Uekawa’s obsession with detail and otherworldliness, which subsequently brought us to Alison Blickle’s spiritually-awakened intimate scenes. While researching political milestones for an upcoming Robert Colescott retrospective, Jamea Richmond-Edwards’ haunting portraits were brought sharply into focus. After seeing Beverly Fishman’s work around the art world for the past few decades, her luminously concrete paintings based on opioids are more poignant than ever.
